Lactation Cookies

Lactation cookies are a really popular way to try to increase your milk supply while breastfeeding. While everyone’s body reacts differently, a lot of women have found success with boosting their supply with oatmeal. That’s why these oatmeal chocolate chip cookies are a great option! Plus, I’ve made this recipe super easy.

We are going to use cookie mix with a few additional ingredients instead of making everything from scratch. If you are breastfeeding, like me, you probably don’t have time for additional baking! These were really quick to make during my baby’s nap time.

You can buy packaged lactation cookies online. However, they can be quite expensive. Making your own will save you some money and enable you to experiment with what ingredients work for your supply.

For this simple recipe, we are using packaged oatmeal chocolate chip cookie mix. I used Betty Crocker but any brand will do. The package called for eggs and oil for the recipe. I also added ground flaxseed and chia seeds for a milk supply boost.

The ingredients that may help your supply the most in this recipe are the oatmeal, egg, flaxseed, and chia seeds. I wrote this post that goes over other foods that may help your supply as well as things you can be doing.

You could also add a few other things to this recipe for increased milk production. Easy add-ins would be high-protein nuts and brewer’s yeast.
