It might sound obvious, that your bedroom is somewhere that can help you to sleep better, but at the same time, it could also be the place that is stopping you from getting a good night’s sleep. If you’re struggling to get a good night’s rest at the moment, then while there are a number of things that could be contributing to this, if you can’t quite put your finger on what could be causing it then perhaps you need to look a little closer to home and even at something a little simpler like your bedroom:

Bedding Is Important Too

It’s not just about looking beautiful; bedding is essential for while you are asleep. Buy silky, natural tree-fiber sheets, a soft throw, a hypoallergenic down comforter, a sunshine silk duvet cover and pillows, pillows, and even more pillows. 

Scent Can Help You To Drift Off

If you’ve not thought about the smell in your bedroom before, then now is the time. Some soothing and relaxing candles could be just what you need, or some lavender spray in the bedroom will help to calm you before you go to bed. 

Get Decent Curtains

You will always sleep so much better in the dark so invest in some blackout curtains which you can shut and then feel comfort in the darkness. Avoid all distractions from street lights and the sun in the morning.

Avoid Night-Lights

Get rid of any clock radios with lighted displays or flashing lights as your brain can misinterpret even dim lights and wonder if it should wake you up. 

Check The Temperature

The ideal bedroom temperature for sleeping is around 65 degrees Fahrenheit, anything warmer or colder than this can disrupt comfortable sleep. Consider getting a programmable thermostat in your bedroom. Also, be careful of how many duvets and throws your adding to your bed, while they do look good, too many can make sleeping hot and uncomfortable so make sure you remove them before you go to bed. 

Try all of these tips and if that doesn’t help with your sleep then maybe you should dig a little deeper, but at least you’ll have some beautiful new bedsheets to make you feel better.
